English Channel I and II are the first two levels of a new three-level video series at beginner level (lower secondary to adult). It builds on the successful formula of the Grapevine videos, using some of the same characters, and combining humour with clear language content for effective and enjoyable learning. Each level consists of eight free-standing units: Video diary of a typical British family, news-style programme, English Channel News, and six stand-alone comedy vignettes. Each unit has a clear grammatical focus and carefully graded language. Each video is of 60 minutes duration.
