Over the course of time designers have managed to optimise fireplaces to avoid problems such as smoke and smells. However, heating the home is no longer the sole aim of chimneys and heaters. They create cosy, warm atmospheres, allowing us to enjoy the magnetism of their flames. This book presents designs of both wood and gas fuelled chimenys and heaters, made from a variety of materials and original designs.
