Publikace významným způsobem mapuje současnou evropskou architektonickou scénu v oblasti bydlení. Autor zde představuje projektovou i fotografickou dokumentaci 39 staveb od renomovaných architektonických kanceláří (BKK-2, MVRDV, Neutelings & Riedijk, Gigon+Guyer, Burkhalter+Sumi, UN STUDIO, Joseph Luis Mateo a další) a na základě souvislostí definuje šest kategorií dnes nejvíce užívaných stavebních typů v bytové výstavbě (dům-město, dům-vila, dům-pavlač, dům-dvůr, vesnice ve městě a kompaktní bydlení). Publikace je psána v českém a anglickém jazyce.
Publikace byla vydána za finanční podpory Ministerstva kultury České republiky, Nadace české architektury, nadačního fondu ARCUS, nadace PRO HELVETIA, Velvyslanectví Nizozemského království a Rakouského kulturního fóra v Praze.

Prestigious publication with the aim to present the architecture of European cities stressing the contemporary architectonic works, which influence further development in the field of architecture. Part of the book should be 39 examples of mainly European housing projects from recent ten to fifteen years (architects BKK-2, MVRDV, Neutelings & Riedijk, Gigon+Guyer, Burkhalter+Sumi, UN STUDIO, Joseph Luis Mateo etc.), including the projection and photographic documentation. The book is bilingual (English/Czech).
