Using a content-based approach, Academic Listening Encounters prepares high-intermediate ESL/EFL students for listening to lectures and taking notes in an English-speaking college or university environment. The content focus of the course is human behaviour, which includes such high-interest topics as stress and health, intelligence, and friendship.
