Karl, a 72-year-old bookseller, takes an evening walk around the neighborhood every night, delivering books to his special readers. He carefully selects the perfect stories that comfort and bring joy.

One evening, during his usual stroll, Karl meets nine-year-old Shasha. This energetic girl in a yellow raincoat persistently asks to join him and even tries to share her knowledge about books.
When Karl’s job at the bookstore is threatened, it is Shasha who steps in to help him restore harmony in his life.

Two chance acquaintances, brought together by a touching friendship, try to bring back the magic of reading to their small town.
