Za knihu Cesta dostal Pulitzerovu cenu, na motívy knihy vznikol rovnomenný film. Podľa románu Táto krajina nie je pre starých (No country for old men, 2005) vznikol roku 2007 rovnomenný film, ktorý získal Oscara za najlepši film.
