About the Author
MICHAEL "KAVES" McLEER is a former graffiti writer turned tattoo artist and hip-hop musician. He has done design work for companies such as Nike and Adidas and created logos and graphics for the Beastie Boys, Busta Rhymes, and other musicians. He owns and operates the art, apparel, and tattoo shop Made in Brooklyn. BILLY BURKE is a producer/director whose six-episode series Marked (a collaboration with tattooist Mario Barth) premiered on the History Channel in 2009. Barth and Burke's 2008 film Under the Skin won numerous awards, including Best Documentary Director from the Los Angeles Film Festival and Best Documentary from the New York Independent Film Festival.
